Risk & Safety HR Associate (3-6 month duration) (REMOTE)
The Risk & Safety HR Associate is an entry-level HR support role providing general administrative and tactical support to Risk & Safety in the People, Culture, and Compliance business unit. This role contributes to and impacts the overall employee experience and employment cycle. The Risk & Safety HR Associate role will be exposed to and support various HR operational functions within the business unit, becoming a subject matter expert in Risk & Safety and backup support in others over time.

An ideal candidate should take direction well, be detail-oriented, possess discernment, and understand the importance of compliance with regulations and confidentiality. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support for Risk & Safety and respond to general employee inquiries about Risk & Safety, worker compensation claims, escalating to the appropriate HR resources or personnel for more specialized support when necessary
- Assist in general data entry, record management, and maintenance
- Enter, audit, and maintain data in HR systems (HRIS), generate reports, and ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Support the workers’ compensation claims process by processing claim submissions, and maintaining accurate records for workers' compensation claims, safety reports, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with leave management, including tracking employee leave requests, accommodations, and accessibility initiatives
- Ensure that employee information is properly protected, and that confidentiality is adhered to
- Maintain continuous education on HR compliance rules and regulations for the US and Canada
- Maintain and update HR communication channels (email, HR portal, etc.) with relevant information.
- Support HR-related projects, including employee engagement initiatives and special programs.
- Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Experience and Credentials
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably working within human resources, risk management, or safety
- Experience and proficiency with ADP
- Experience and proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft365 including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and web browsers like Google Chrome
